Indian Feast...

Last night R's Aunty cooked us tea...she made curry. I LOVE curry but can't handle anything too hot. I snuck a sample when she was out and it made my lips burn...I was scared..but I have to say, it was very nice. What made it extra nice were all the little extras she did to compliment it. A yummy tomato and red onion salsa, yogurt and cucumber dip, some onion and nectarine marmalade (sounds horrific but spicy and yum), and ....wait for it....fried banana wheels in coconut. Now, if you are like me, you would have been traumatized by a certain Aunts mince with sultanas in it when we were young, so if you ask me, fruit does not belong in anything savory, but I have to say, the banana/cocnut concoction took the sting out of the curry...all finished off with fluffy rice (best invention ever, the humble rice cooker) and some poppadoms...
think we will be having leftovers for lunch..

Now...another photo...for those of you with imagination, you will see the pattern R put in my homemade hot choc...yes, a choccy dog....just like Stellar.

I will be back later to announce the challenge for the week, the colour challenge. Have been speaking to PoppyBlack this morning and we decided to give it a go, rules and colours later.

Wow that looks so yummy! Wish we had leftovers like that for lunch. I'm not keen on the burny mouth stuff either. It is FREEZING here. Wish I had a hot chocolate with a chocolate dog on top. Looking forward to the challenge later. XXX

Wow, that looks sooooo yummy - all the extras are great. Like a restaurant :-) Although, I probably would have suffered a ring of fire eating that curry because I can't handle hot either!!!

Maybe we can have chocolate dog hot chocolates next Saturday too.
I will have a think about other dedacent things to eat.

Flynniepup got challenged by 3 of those steers up the Maitai today. They were right on the track on the town side of the field and wouldn't move. Blimmin agressive! A reckons that steers are territorial in the winter - who knows.

Looking forward to hearing about a challenge of another kind.
